New Projects

Though in the blog world I have been slow on the uptake, my life in general has been busy. But my hands continually are busy with crochet!

My first project off the bat was my scrap blanket. Ever since I first saw this project in my Crochet Today!, I had to do it. And initially it was going be apart of my plan for uses for scraps. Unfortunately I have not highlighted those particular instances, maybe I still will do it in a later post.
This blanket has been relatively easy to put together, despite the bumps in the road that have already been faced with it. Such bumps include putting to many hexagons in one area to putting too few. All in all, like a good blanket it is taking time to put together and admittedly I am getting sick of my colors, even though they are all of my "scraps."

I hope when the blanket is done that all of the skeins of yarn are gone...I'm not sure I will ever want to see them again!

My next project is another blanket. I asked my sister-in-law Toni what she would want for her house. She wanted a large blanket, all gray with some sort of edging that would jump out from the gray. She also wanted something very modern looking.

When talking about the blanket that was to be made, we both saw a neat blanket in a Martha Stewart Living magazine that inspired this creation. So, to the best of my ablitity and with the help of Vanna's 10 inch square patterns I have started this blanket.

This blanket is so far without a pattern (except for the squares). I am excited to see how it will turn out.

Besides the crocheting, I have been trying to better myself by riding my bicycle two hours a week. So there has been a lot of that going on as well.My husband has his own goals for the bike too.

All in all, busy, busy in between work, crochet and fitness! Talk to you later!

2011 Review

Ok, so its already the middle of January...am I still allowed to reveiw?

My biggest reason for the review is proably to see, selfishly, how much I accomplished. I mean everyone needs a little jump start, an affirmation on progress.

So here are the crochet/cooking pictures of the year:

I hope you enjoyed seeing them. I suppose I could have added the travel pictures as well. But this year has already gotten away with me. So hopefully talk to you soon!
